Lou in the Elfin Forest

My Thanks to
Supporters!

I am pleased and honored by the votes from my fellow Los Osos residents. Our walking campaign distributed 3400 door hangers and related materials. I am particularly grateful to the over 300 people who opened their doors and shared their hopes with me and took the time to talk about their concerns and their commitment to a better Los Osos. I look forward to working with Jon-Erik, and with all the Board members to make our town a better place to live, work and play.

Many of you expressed an interest in continuing to provide feedback and insights to me as we move on, and potentially become more active in the work of the CSD. Please do feel free to E-mail me at ltornatzky@gmail.com and my phone number is in the book.

We in Los Osos are well aware of the many benefits of our town – friendly, beautiful, unpretentious – and the word is getting around. The wastewater project is on the road to completion, the bankruptcy is nearly over, and other challenges and opportunities are ahead. Let’s focus on stabilizing our water quality and supply, and look closely at other concerns such as drainage improvement and parks. We also need to be open to other sources of funding, since the bankruptcy resulted in the loss of income from the solid waste franchise. It is time to be more inventive and entrepreneurial, so that Los Osos can become an even better place to live.
